Visionary Movement approached us with intentions to become more than just a fitness studio, but rather a movement studio. They wanted to offer fitness classes, dance classes, meditation, and soon start a dance company. The big thing they were looking for was a website that allowed customers to book classes, purchase class packages, create accounts to manage history, and above all, a dashboard that simplifies how they manage their studio. Their studio was going to be doing a lot, and so we wanted to deliver a reach experience that makes it feel simple. Additionally, they were looking for Branding since they were a new studio.

The first part of this project was nailing the interface of the website. This would become the face of the studio, and so it was important we deliver their message in a powerful way. Their website was going to allow users to log in/register, sign up for classes, purchase packages, and more! Additionally, we knew that it was important that Visionary Movement have a blog so they can continue to grow their audience and build a strong community. Especially since they will be offering online classes and so their community can expand beyond their physical studio location. The next part of this project was the management software, but we'll talk more about that later.

We started this project with branding since it became easier to design their web interface after knowing the vision they had for the studio. They already had an idea for a logo, and so we decided to start the branding there. "We are looking for a logo with the letters 'VM' and angel wings. Maybe even a halo if you can bring that all together. Something that can take to any color" -Angela. After that request, we starting drafting concepts and decided to use the angel wings as the V with the M nestled inside. Additionally, we put a halo over top and added the brand name underneath. After designing the logo we decided on typography, colors, visual assets, and even filmed a video for the homepage of the website. We found a beautiful way to tell their story.

Beautiful and Simple. The website was designed to be responsive, and intuitive for users. When we designed the classes page we made it easy for users to find the classes they want simply by selecting the class type, instructor, etc. On the blog page, we make it incredibly easy to read and showcase similar blogs at the bottom to keep viewers interested. Everything was designed from the ground up for Visionary Movement to grow their audience and build a strong community.

Visionary Movement's website was built on one of the most powerful web frameworks called Nuxt.js. This means a few things. First, the website has incredible SEO (search engine optimization). Every page is optimized to make it easy for people to find the website, and even easier for members/users to share content across social media. The discoverability of Visionary Movement's website will be incredible. The next thing is that their website is built with growth in mind. Not only can we add features whenever we like, but the team at Visionary Movement can modify the content on their website whenever they need to. This means they don't need to pay us to make simple changes because it is all built on top of an incredibly powerful CMS (Content Management System) called Prismic which is used by companies like Netflix and Google.

This studio management software is unparalleled. With a beautiful and simple interface, managing a studio is no longer as demanding and labor-intensive. The dashboard gives Visionary Movement the ability to manage classes/events, manage members, manage staff, update availability for private lessons, and more. Not only that, but we created a seamless integration with the website so members can book classes and make purchases all on the same page. Let me walk you through an example. Sammy is a member and takes a yoga class every once in a while. She logs into the website and finds a time that works for her. After selecting the class and purchasing it you can now see her as a participant of that class on the calendar. Sammy gets an email confirmation after signing up, and then 1 hour before the class gets a notification. Additionally, if it is a Zoom class she will get an email with a button to join the zoom. This makes it incredibly easy for Visionary Movement to see what is going on in their studio and for their members to schedule the experiences they want.
